Low Inventory Notification 🔔
The IEX Portal Low Inventory feature automatically notifies you when your product stock falls below a set threshold, helping you avoid stockouts. This article explains how the feature works, how to set and edit inventory thresholds, and the different notification methods (email and in-portal pop-ups). You'll also learn how to manually view low inventory items, manage your overall inventory, and handle discontinued items.
Purpose
The IEX Portal Low Inventory feature helps you prevent stockouts by automatically notifying you when your inventory levels for a product fall below a predefined threshold. This ensures you have ample time to restock critical items.
How It Works
A low inventory notification is triggered when a product's available stock reaches its designated low inventory threshold.
-
Setting Thresholds
- Default Threshold: By default, the low inventory threshold is set to 10 units.
- Custom Thresholds: This number can be customized for specific products. You can set a custom threshold when initially adding a product to the portal.
- Editing Thresholds: To modify the threshold for an existing product, please contact your Brand Manager (BM).
-
Notification Methods
-
Email Notifications
-
Content: You will receive an email summarizing which items in your inventory are running low. A CSV file with detailed information for each item is attached for your convenience.
-
Timing: The initial email is sent the morning after an item's stock level drops to or below its threshold.
-
Frequency: If an item is not restocked or deleted, you will receive a reminder email every two weeks.
-

-
In-Portal Pop-up Notifications
-
Content: A pop-up message will appear after you log in, listing the items that are low on inventory.
-
Timing: This message appears once per day.
-
NOTE: If you want to start receiving these emails, you can request it by sending an email to support@imprintengine.com or contact your Brand Manager
