Using IEX Business Reasons
This article explains how to use Business Reasons to tag and categorize your sends for better reporting. You will find step-by-step instructions on how to assign a Business Reason when creating a new send, as well as how to add or edit a reason for a send that has already been placed by using the Delivery Reports feature.
What are Business Reasons?
Business Reasons are custom tags you can apply to your sends for enhanced tracking and reporting. They allow you to categorize sends for specific purposes, such as prospecting, client appreciation, or event marketing. These reasons are customizable by your Organization admin to fit your unique business needs.
Adding a Business Reason During Send Creation
When creating an Single Send, Bulk Send or Direct Send, you can assign a Business Reason on the Send Summary page. This is the final step before you confirm and place the send.
How to Add or Edit a Business Reason After a Send is Placed
If you need to add or change a Business Reason after a send has already been created, follow these steps:
- Go to Delivery Reports
- Look for the send to which you want to add the Business Reason and click on “View Summary”
- Click on the "edit icon" and select an option from the drop-down
- Once you’ve selected the desired Business Reason that you want to add click on “Apply Changes”
*Note: This feature can be a required field per campaign but is not required per custom send.
